Work on the new 175 space car park has now been completed and is about to be opened. The whole area has been landscaped with shrubs and mature trees.
Once the new car park area is opened the rest of the old car park will become a new dedicated 12 acre parkland . Parts of the new cycle/pathway have been completed at Blackgate Road and between Shoebury High Street and
Concerns had been raised about access for wheelchairs and for parents with prams and pushchairs via the new kissing gates. These gates have now been altered to allow easier access.
Once the car park is opened the old road will be levelled to form the cycle/footway link between Blackgate Road and Rampart Terrace.
