Shoebury Conservatives have condemed West Shoebury Independent Party candidate Evelyn Assenheim for calling West Shoebury residents 'Cranks and Nutters'.
In an email sent to Cllr Tony from a furious West Shoebury resident, the chain of emails claim that no Independent councillor can get anything done, calls the residents cranks and nutters and insists that she will only meet local residents if they produce ID and come with a chaperone.
Commenting on the revelations Cllr Tony Cox said:
"I do not know what the Independents will do next, they are in complete self distruct mode. I have never heard of a candidate refer to their electorate in such a derogatory mannor.
"It just goes to show that with comments like this Mrs Assenheim is not fit to hold public office."
