Shoebury Conservatives are pleased to be able to provide you with a collection update and a list of the revised collection schedule for this week.
Food waste & garden waste collections were suspended this week to ensure that general black bag & recycling waste is collected.
An additional 8 crews have been diverted on to the refuse and recycling rounds, which are currently 'shuttling' to and from the landfill site to catch up on last weeks collections and to meet the demand of the vast amount of waste that is being presented this week.
The weather has turned and will continue to thaw right up to Saturday, therefore, we are confident that we will complete the rescheduled collections by close of play this Saturday evening. However, some of the roads may still be too hazardous to collect from at the moment and these will be delayed until later this week when safe to return and collect. Please be assured that all properties will receive a refuse & recycling collection by the close of this week.
Our website is being constantly updated with information and subject to the weather remaining as it is all collections will be back to normal as from next Monday 18 January.
