08/01/10 - Shoeburyness Junction Protection scheme

Following the extensive consultation exercise, that was carried out at the end of last year; a final Junction protection proposal is now being put forward for implementation this year, subject to the outcome of statutory consultation.

The Traffic Regulation Orders (TRO’s) associated with the parking management scheme were advertised in the Southend Echo on Thursday 7th January 2010 and street notices will also be displayed on lampposts in the immediate area detailing the proposals.

The TRO’s are advertised until the 28th January 2010 and any comments or representations regarding the proposals, together with the grounds on which they are made, must be sent in writing to the Corporate Director of Enterprise Tourism & the Environment and marked for the attention of the (Demand Management Group) Transport Programmes Team at the Civic Centre, Victoria Avenue, Southend-on-Sea SS2 6ER.

Similarly, extensive consultation was carried out at the end of last year for parking improvements to Shoebury High Street.

Again, a Traffic Regulation Orders (TRO’s) associated with the scheme was advertised in the Southend Echo on Thursday 7th January 2010 and street notices will also be displayed on lampposts in the immediate area detailing the proposals.

Any comments or representations regarding this proposal also need to be sent in writing to the Corporate Director of Enterprise Tourism & the Environment and marked for the attention of the (Demand Management Group) Transport Programmes Team at the Civic Centre, Victoria Avenue, Southend-on-Sea SS2 6ER.
