An online poll has shown that over 65% of those that have responded backed the councils proposed improvements for Shoebury East Beach.
The poll which has been running for over a month on the Shoebury Conservatives website shows that a majority of over 2 to 1 support the improvements.
Upon hearing the results Cllr Tony Cox commented:
I would like to thank all the residents who took the time and trouble to vote on our website.
Until now, there has been no free and fair way for residents to exercise their views on the proposed East Beach improvements, but since speaking to local residents about the scheme Im not surprised at the scale of the result.
Residents, quite rightly, have been asking the council for some to action on East Beach and now, I believe, we have a scheme which can only enhance the area.
