Shoebury Conservatives have today joind the campaign to save Britain's local newspapers.
Over 50 have already closed including the Southend Times and many more are facing cutbacks.
Local newspapers are an important part of our community. They are the best source of information as to what is happening in an area, giving you a low down on local stories, events and sports teams - and of course holding elected local politicians to account.
We think it is important to save local and regional newspapers - so please lend your support by clicking here and signing the Conservatives on-line petition.
